Master The Mountain is the learn to ski/snowboard component of The Crystal Community Ski Club (CCSC). We are a family-oriented snowsports club where youth, ages 7 through 17, can learn or advance alpine skiing and/or snowboarding in a fun and encouraging environment. All ability levels are welcome - our primary goal is to encourage a lifetime of wintertime sports enjoyment!

Our Objectives

  • To develop friendship and camaraderie among youth and families
  • To evaluate and teach ski and snowboard and racing skills and maximize potential talent
  • To furnish area youth with top notch, affordable Alpine Ski and Snowboard instruction
  • To promote winter enjoyment and outdoor activity for families, for a lifetime

  • All programs are held at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, MI, and run from mid-December through mid-March. The Crystal Community Ski Club is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization.

  • MTM is on Sundays, 2-5pm, cost is $TBD

The Specifics- Master The Mountain

The Master The Mountain groups will meet nearly every Sunday throughout the winter, 2-5 pm. The focus is to teach our Club Members a good foundation for being all mountain skiers and/or snowboarders.  We will utilize the amazing and talented instructors of Crystal Mountain to develop skill sets that meet each skier and rider where they are, and take them to the next level.  We formulate the kids, 7-17 years old, into age and skill appropriate groups so that we can build on-mountain camaraderie and friendships. After all, it's always more fun to be on the mountain with friends!

The next generation has taken to the slopes. Our Master The Mountain program is in full effect!

CCSC Golden Rules

Greetings CCSC Master The Mountain families.

I’d like to introduce something we’ve been working on putting together for some time now. These Golden Rules are a guide for the members of our club to be familiar with and to abide by in order for us all to have a happy club environment and to cultivate the kind of culture where we all uplift and empower each other. Please introduce these to your kids and know that our instructors will be doing the same this Sunday and for the remainder of the season. Thank you for all you do to help make this club a great place for kids and families, alike.
