CCSC's Junior Patrol program is designed for pre-teens and teens ages 11 and older.  This introductory program will develop basic medical skills, hone ski/ride skills and provide opportunities for ride alongs with Mountain Hosts and Ski Patrollers.  Each week we will tackle a variety of skills that teach participants how to spot concerns on the hill, how to stay safe when helping others, what a "day in the life" of a patroller/host is like and foster community and ski/ride skills.  After a successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Crystal Mountain Jr. Patrol Patch.

This program provides a platform for interested skiers and riders to join Crystal Mountain's Ski Patrol as a Young Adult Patroller.  NSP young adult members and candidates must be 15 years old by December 31 of the year in which they begin patrolling, so YAPs are generally 15 years old through 17 (or through their senior year in high school). Young adult patrollers must meet the same patroller training and responsibilities as any other member of the patrol with the same skill set.  Crystal Mountain has YAPs who serve as both Mountain Hosts and Ski Patrollers.
