CCSC Hosts First Invitational of the Season

In the first Race Academy invitational of the season, CCSC hosted 172 athletes from five different teams across Northern Michigan for the CCSC Invitational on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Athletes competed in Slalom and Giant Slalom races with older kids competing on Buck and younger kids competing on Cheers.

Huge Thanks to Our Parents, Volunteers and Coaches!

With our first full-day invitational, we couldn’t have done it without the help of all of our parents, volunteers and coaches. From checking in teams, serving as gatekeepers, starters, conducting course maintenance, managing a potluck to keep everyone fed and happy and guiding our young athletes through a full invitational race - THANK YOU!

Especially Mark Hughes!

A huge shout out to our Super Race Volunteer and Board Member, Mark Hughes. This invitational would not have been possible without the countless hours of scheduling, communicating and organizing from Mark Hughes. THANK YOU!

And a Special Shout Out to Riley Bishop!

In case you missed it, one of our CCSC Race Academy athletes, Riley Bishop, served as the announcer for Sunday’s race. She completely nailed it, with several spectators suggesting she go full-time as a ski race announcer. THANK YOU RILEY!

Congratulations to our CCSC Athletes!

Several of our CCSC skiers were on the podium. Woo hoo! See all of the results here.
