JR. SKI PATROL

Ages 12-15 | $100

Have you wondered what the people in red jackets with a cross do on the mountain? What about those in the yellow vests who are present when someone needs help? Join the Jr. Patrol program to gain basic skills and learn more about being a member of the National Ski Patrol!

Sundays, 2-5pm

Take home skills and practices, totaling no more than 30 minutes per week.

**Additional “on hill” patrolling time with instructors will be available select Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00pm; Jr. Patrollers will serve alongside Wednesday night Ski Patrollers and assist in closing hills and at accident scenes.

Instructors

Crystal Mountain

Certified members of the National Ski Patrol.

Requirements

Participants will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Age 12 and older

  • Comfortable skiing or snowboarding on blue runs.

  • Provide your own equipment.

  • Have a Crystal Mountain ski/snowboard pass for Wednesdays and/or Sundays.

Location

Loki Lift

Pick up and drop off will be at the base of the Loki Lift at Crystal Mountain.

Additional Information

This program is designed for youth ages 12-15 who are interested in camaraderie, snow safety and first aid.

Jr. Patrollers will learn basic first aid skills, skiing/riding techniques, and mountain safety with special emphasis on skills practiced by the National Ski Patrol.

Youth skiers and riders who love to be on the snow, enjoy helping people and want to grow in their ability to respond to challenges that arise on the mountain are great candidates for this program!

After a successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Crystal Mountain Jr. Patrol certificate.
