RACE ACADEMY

Ages 7-18 | Price ranges from $250 - $575 (see below)

Athletes looking to improve their competitive race skills and race results will work with our top coaches in Crystal Race Academy! Race Academy is geared towards experienced racers or those whose competitive skill level is high.

Racers will enhance their race and skiing skills with specialized individual coaching.

Date/Time

Wednesday  5-7pm    Slalom

Friday            6-8pm    Giant Slalom

Saturday       8am-11pm  Slalom

Sunday          9am-12pm  Giant Slalom

Racers can choose to sign up for 1, 2, 3 or 4 lessons per week.

Nastar passes are $30 for CCSC families - You will receive a special link to purchase after registering for a CCSC program.

Skill Requirements

Experienced Skiers

Students need to be able to make continuous turns down blue runs and load and unload the ski lift independently.

Races

Races will take place throughout the region on weekends and are optional. Click here to see the ski race calendar.

Equipment

Race Gear Needed

Skiers will race Slalom and Giant Slalom and will need race gear for safety.

Skis
Can have separate Giant Slalom and Slalom – or one pair that works for both.

Boots
It’s very important to have the right fit for racing. Please ask coaches/shops to assess.

Helmet
Slalom - chin bar is required.
Giant Slalom - no chin bar allowed, it will need to be removed.

Additional gear not required but helpful:

  • Racing gloves

  • Shin guards

  • Giant Slalom ski poles

  • Goggles

  • Arm guards

  • Back pad

  • Speed suit

  • Ski socks
